“I believe that; Work can add to our quality of life when we enjoy what we do to make a living. I am happy when artisans take pride in their creations, working with Studio Naenna and I am proud when customers return to our gallery because they are pleased with our quality of work.”
Natural dyeing requires great patience and determination Certain tones require repeat dyeing, such as deep indigo which requires 10 stages of dyeing to reach the required hue. Light-brown silk dyed with longan wood needs several more steps before the material takes on a khaki hue that is satisfactory. Using raw natural fibers is of utmost importance at Studio Naenna, for anything we use affects the environment and thus we only work with natural materials that naturally degrade.
